Who we are

CAW Safeguard is an internal emergency notification system operated by Central Alabama Water (CAW) for the benefit of CAW employees. It is not a public-facing product and is not offered to consumers.

Information we collect

When you create a CAW Safeguard account we collect:

How we use it

Your information is used only to deliver emergency notifications, drills, and safety advisories from CAW administrators to CAW employees, and to maintain a record of opt-in consent.

We do not sell or share your data

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, and are never sold. We share data only with the service providers required to deliver the notifications themselves (e.g. our SMS, voice, and email carriers), and only to the extent necessary to send messages you have opted in to receive.

Retention

We retain account and consent records for as long as you remain a CAW employee with an active CAW Safeguard account. When your account is removed, your profile is deleted; consent records may be retained in backups for a reasonable period for audit purposes.

Your choices

SMS-specific terms

Details of the SMS program — message types, frequency, opt-out, and help instructions — are described in the SMS Messaging Terms.
